Archaeoscape - Enviornmental and Archaeological Unit London



Dr. Chris Green, Co-Director and Geoarchaeologist
ArchaeoScape is a business unit based at the Department of Geography, Royal Holloway University of London. Founded in 1996 by Dr Nick Branch, Dr Chris Green and Professor John Lowe, the business provides a specialist environmental archaeological service to government organisations, environmental consultancies and archaeological companies.

The wide range of services offered by ArchaeoScape draws upon extensive experience and expertise of staff within the Department and College, and from external bodies and individuals. This has enabled ArchaeoScape to establish and maintain a substantial client base, both in the UK and abroad.

The business has a core staff of eight employees, namely:

In collaboration with the Department of Geography, Faculty of Science and Royal Holloway Enterprise Office, ArchaeoScape has also endeavoured to promote the long-term development of archaeology within the College by sponsoring post-graduate research studentships (MSc and PhD) and undergraduate internships. ArchaeoScape also sponsors the Centre for Quaternary Research informal seminar and lecture series.
